Begun in 1974, the Colorado JCI Senate has grown from a small group of Senators who gathered for friendship and good
times to an organization of over 200 members. While friendship is still a main attribute of the organization, the Colorado
JCI Senate has expanded to working with the Colorado Jaycees by providing support as judges for competitions, serving
as trainers, hosting the OYC/OYF Honoree reception and being mentors for local Jaycee Chapters.
The Colorado JCI Senate also offers financial support to local Jaycee chapters through grants for Community Service and
Individual Development projects. A scholarship program, offered in conjunction with the U.S. JCI Senate, is available
to Colorado High School Seniors desiring to continue their education. More information on our grant and scholarship
programs can be found on our programs page.
